2. Choose a layout that frames your camera, such as Camera Bubble.
3. Turn on Pop-out, or ask the Tella Agent to turn it on.
4. In Customize layout, set the Pop-out amount, outline and frame shape.

- Needs a paid plan or the 7-day trial. Messages use your workspace's credits.
- Pop-out is unavailable for screen-only and full-frame camera layouts.
- Choosing a Cut-out layout turns Pop-out off.
- Pop-out applies to the current layout or layout section, not to every clip.

### What's the difference between Pop-out and Cut out in Tella?

Cut out in Tella removes your camera background and frame entirely, so only you remain on the canvas. Pop-out also cuts you out, but keeps a smaller shaped frame behind your head.

### Can I reuse my Pop-out look in other videos?

Yes. In Tella, open Customize layout and save the layout to Favorites. Pop-out also stays on when you switch between compatible framed-camera layouts in the same video.

### Can Claude or ChatGPT add the pop-out effect to my Tella video?

Yes. An AI app connected to Tella's [MCP server](https://www.tella.com/mcp) can pass popOut on add_layout or update_layout, with optional amount, outline width, outline color and frame background. Sending popOut as null turns it off.
