2. Ask the Tella Agent to cut you out, or select Cut out under Layout.
3. Pick your side of the screen recording, then move or resize yourself.
4. Pick a color, gradient, image or animated background under Background in Style.

## Good to know

- Needs a paid plan or the 7-day trial. Messages use your workspace's credits.
- Cut out works best when you stand clearly apart from your background. Hair and fast movement can leave soft edges.
- Download waits until Preparing cut-out finishes, but you can keep editing in the meantime.
- Choosing Cut out turns Pop-out off. Cut out isn't available for screen-only recordings.

In Tella, Cut out removes the room and the camera frame. Camera background in Style keeps your frame, border and shadow, and only blurs the room or fills it with a color.

Yes. In Tella, the Cut out preset fills the canvas with uploaded footage of a person. To keep another layout, open Customize layout and turn on Cut-out in the Screen section.
