## How to do it in Tella

1. Save a login for a demo account with sample data in Settings → Credentials.
2. Ask for a take with the dashboard URL, who it's for, the filters and date range to set, and where to end.
3. Say what must not change, like "don't save the view" or "don't export".
4. Read the handoff note and ask for a revision if a step is missing. Then trim the take, add zooms or record a voiceover over it.

## Good to know

- Beta, on paid plans. Each take uses your workspace's credits, the same balance the Tella Agent spends.
- Anything the signed-in account can see may appear in the video, so use a demo account with sample data, not real customer numbers.
- It records dashboards on public domains only. It can't record localhost, intranet hosts or desktop BI apps. If your own site blocks bots, you can add a firewall rule that lets captures through.

### Can I record a dashboard walkthrough from Claude or ChatGPT?

Yes. Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Tella's [MCP server](https://www.tella.com/mcp), then ask it to use Tella Auto Capture with the dashboard's URL and the name of a saved login. When the take is delivered, ask it to put the take in a new Tella video. The take isn't in your library until it's in a video.

### Can Auto Capture show a chart's hover tooltip?

Yes. Auto Capture's cursor glides onto each element and pauses there like a person's would, so hover menus and tooltips open on camera. Name the chart and the point to hover in your request.

### What if our dashboard needs a two-factor code?

Save the login from 1Password with its one-time password, and Tella fills in the code itself. If the code comes by email or text and the login is saved as Only you, the take pauses and sends you a link to a Tella page where you type the code. Security keys and passkeys aren't supported.
