# Account

> Read who is signed in, their workspace's plan and its agent credits.

## get\_account

> ChatGPT's tool list does not include `get_account`. Claude and other clients that do not identify themselves as OpenAI-hosted clients keep this tool.

The signed-in user (`id`, `name`, `email`), their `workspace` and `role` in it, the workspace's `plan` and its agent `credits`. Use it before work that needs a paid plan (4K or 60 FPS exports) or spends credits (the editor agent, AI generation, auto capture), to tell the user when to upgrade or buy more. Takes no parameters.

Returns:

* `plan.name`: `free`, `pro`, `premium`, `enterprise` or `enterprise-premium`, with the subscription `status` (`active`, `trialing`, …), `trialEndsAt` while trialing, and `cancelsAtPeriodEnd`.
* `credits`: the `balance`, the plan's `monthlyAllowance`, whether you can buy more (`canPurchase`, workspace owners only) and the `packages` on offer. Absent when credits aren't set up for the workspace.
* `billingURL`: the workspace's billing page.
