# Billing

> Create a Stripe Checkout link to upgrade the workspace or buy credits.

Your agent can't pay for anything itself. It creates a checkout link and gives it to you: you pay on Stripe's page without signing in to Tella, and the plan or credits apply to your workspace as soon as the payment goes through.

## create\_checkout\_link

Create a Stripe Checkout link for a paid plan or a one-time credit package. Pass exactly one of `plan` and `creditPackage`. Only a workspace owner can buy, and the link expires after 24 hours.

A plan can only be bought for a workspace without a paid plan yet. To change an existing plan, or for an education discount, use the [billing page](https://www.tella.tv/settings/billing).

**plan** `enum\<string\>`

`pro_monthly`, `pro_yearly`, `premium_monthly` or `premium_yearly`. Any paid plan exports in 4K; 60 FPS needs Premium, or Pro for videos up to 5 minutes. See [pricing](https://www.tella.tv/pricing).

**creditPackage** `string`

A credit package id: the number of credits in thousands, such as `25k`, `100k` or `1000k`. An unknown id fails with every package on offer and its price.

Returns the checkout `url`, the `amountCents` and `currency` due now (before tax) and, for a plan, its billing `interval` and `seats` (one per workspace member), or for a credit package, the `credits` it adds.

Credits bought this way are the same one-time packages sold on the billing page. The monthly credit top-up isn't available here; change it on the billing page.
