# Apply for Tella for Education

> Learn who qualifies for Tella for Education, what access includes, and how to submit your application.

Tella for Education gives qualifying educators and students free access to Tella Pro for six months. No credit card is required.

## How long access lasts

Your six-month term starts when your application is approved. It ends automatically without renewing or charging you, and your account loses Pro access.

The free term is available once per workspace, so applying again after it ends does not start another one. If you still need Pro, you can add a card and keep Pro for 50% off the current individual Pro price. Tella checks your education eligibility every 12 months, and the discount is available for up to four years. Your free six-month term does not count toward that limit.

## Who qualifies

Teachers, professors, and students at accredited educational institutions can apply. You need a Tella account registered with your school's email address.

Education access is limited to one user per workspace.

## How to apply

1. [Create a Tella account](https://www.tella.com/api/signup) using your school email address.
2. Open the [Tella for Education page](https://www.tella.com/for-education).
3. Click **Apply now**.
4. Enter your full name, educational institution website, and school email address.
5. Choose whether you're an educator or a student.
6. If you're a student, select both the month and year of your estimated graduation date.
7. Submit the form. You'll receive a confirmation email, and we'll review your application shortly.

## After you apply

If you can sign in to Tella and open your workspace, you don't need to do anything else after receiving the confirmation email.

If you can't sign in yet, create a Tella account using the school email address from your application, then submit the form again. We'll get back to you within a few days.
