Stickers add a small visual accent without covering your recording. Choose from Tella’s sticker library, GIFs, memes, company logos, and animated templates, or create your own animated sticker with AI.

Add a sticker

  1. Open your video in the editor and move the playhead to where you want the sticker to appear.
  2. Open Overlay in the sidebar.
  3. Under Stickers, choose a suggested sticker or click Browse all.
  4. Choose an item from Animated, Doodle icons, Badges, People, Everyday items, Retro, Company logos, GIFs, or Memes.
The sticker appears on the canvas and the Overlay timeline. Stickers start at a compact size so they do not cover your recording. Drag the sticker or its corners to reposition or resize it, then drag its timeline card to change when it appears. You can also use Search all stickers beside the Stickers heading to find an item quickly.

Create an animated sticker with AI

  1. Under Stickers, click Browse all.
  2. In Animated, click Create your own.
  3. Describe the animation you want, then click Generate.
  4. Review the preview. Enter another prompt and click Update with AI if you want to refine it.
  5. Click Add to video.
Be specific about the subject, movement, and colors. For example: “Three confetti bursts in warm colors.”

Use an animated template

Open StickersBrowse all, then choose a template under Animated. Tella adds it to your video immediately. The animated templates are provided by LottieFiles. Click License in the Animated sticker panel to review their license.

Upload an animated sticker

  1. Open StickersBrowse all.
  2. Under Animated, click Create your own.
  3. Click Upload Lottie in the top-right corner.
  4. Click Choose file and select a Lottie JSON or .lottie file up to 2 MB.
Animations that use external image assets, themes, or state machines are not supported.

Edit an animated sticker with AI

  1. Select the animated sticker on the canvas or Overlay timeline.
  2. Open its three-dots menu and select Edit with AI.
  3. Describe what you want to change, then click Update with AI.
  4. Review the result and click Apply changes.
You can click Undo in the Animated sticker panel to return to the previous generated version before applying your changes.

Adjust or remove a sticker

Stickers use the same controls as other visual overlays. You can move, resize, rotate, trim, split, duplicate, reorder, or delete them. See Add media overlays and Work with the multi-track timeline for the shared controls.
