# Timelapse video

> How to turn a Tella video into a 30-second, 1-minute, 2-minute, or 5-minute timelapse.

Turn a longer video into a short timelapse by choosing the finished duration. Tella calculates the speed needed to fit your video into that length.

<Note>
  Timelapse exports require an active **paid plan**. They aren't available during a free trial.

1. Open the video you want to turn into a timelapse.

2. Click **Download** in the top right.

3. Under **Speed**, choose **Timelapse**.

4. Under **Duration**, choose **30s**, **1m**, **2m**, or **5m**. Only durations shorter than your video are shown.

5. Leave **Remove audio** on for a silent timelapse, or turn it off to keep sped-up audio.

6. Click **Download video**.

Tella prepares an MP4 at the calculated speed. The available duration choices depend on how long your original video is.
