# Windows app system requirements

> Minimum requirements to install and run the Tella Windows app.

Here's what your PC needs to run [Tella for Windows](https://tella.com/windows) (currently in Beta).

## Minimum requirements

* **Windows 10 version 2004 (build 19041) or later**, including Windows 11. Earlier Windows 10 builds, Windows 8, and Windows 7 are not supported.

<Note>
  On Windows 10, Windows draws a yellow capture border around the display being recorded and there is no way to hide it. Windows 11 hides it automatically.

* **Intel, AMD, or ARM processor.** There are separate installers for each:
  * **Most PCs (Intel/AMD):** [TellaSetup.exe](https://windows.tella.tv/download/TellaSetup.exe)
  * **Surface Pro X or Snapdragon (ARM):** [TellaSetup-arm64.exe](https://windows.tella.tv/download/TellaSetup-arm64.exe)

* **Internet connection** with an upload speed of at least **2.5–5 Mbps** for reliable uploads. Test your speed [here](https://www.speedtest.net/).

* **Free disk space** of at least **5–10 GB** before recording. Tella temporarily saves recordings to local storage before uploading them, so longer or higher-quality recordings need more space.   If your PC can't run a supported Windows version, you can still record with the [web app](/docs/help/recording/record-a-video-using-the-web-app) in a supported browser. See the [minimum usage requirements](/docs/help/faq/usage-requirements).

## Download
