Videos in Tella belong to the workspace they were recorded in. There’s no drag-and-drop way to move a video between workspaces yet, but depending on your situation there are supported paths.

”I recorded in the wrong workspace”

If you belong to several workspaces, check the workspace switcher (your workspace name, top left) — the video is in whichever workspace was active when you recorded. From there:
  • A few videos: download each video and upload it to the right workspace. The upload is a fresh video — edits, layouts, and analytics don’t carry over, and you’ll want the original recording quality export.
  • Many videos: contact support via the in-app chat — we can help migrate videos between workspaces on our end. Include links to both workspaces and which videos should move. Don’t delete the source workspace or videos while a migration is pending.

Transfer videos when deleting a workspace

If you’re closing a workspace (e.g. consolidating a personal and a work account), the deletion flow lets you transfer all videos to another workspace you belong to before the old one is removed. See Delete a workspace.
To transfer during deletion, your account must be a member of the target workspace first — accept an invite to it before starting the deletion.

Transfer videos when removing a member

When a member leaves, the owner can transfer that member’s videos to another member of the same workspace as part of the removal flow. See Remove a member.

”Can I merge two accounts?”

Two Tella logins (e.g. a Google login and an email login for the same person) can’t be merged automatically, and each workspace bills separately. The practical fix is to pick one account, move the videos using the options above, and cancel billing on the other. If you’re being charged on both, reach out via support chat and we’ll sort out the billing side.
