Every new Tella workspace starts with a 7-day free trial of the Pro plan. No credit card is required, and the trial ends automatically — you’ll never be charged unless you subscribe.

When the trial starts

Your trial starts the moment you create your account, not the first time you record. If you sign up and come back a few days later, those days count against the trial.
Trials are per workspace. If you created your workspace a while ago, its trial may already be over even if you haven’t recorded anything yet.

What’s included

During the trial you can record, edit, export finished videos, and share. A few things are paid-only: clips are capped at 2 hours (6 hours on a paid plan), exports are HD 30 FPS (4K and speed/timelapse options unlock when you subscribe; 60 FPS is available on Pro for videos up to 5 minutes and on Premium for any length), and uploading existing videos or exporting raw recordings requires an active paid plan. See tella.com/pricing for everything in Pro.

What happens when the trial ends

Tella is a paid product — there’s no forever-free plan. When your 7 days are up:
  • Your videos are safe. Nothing is deleted. You can keep viewing and sharing everything you made.
  • Recording, editing, and exporting are locked until you subscribe to a paid plan.
You can subscribe at any time to pick up right where you left off. More detail in What happens when my Tella subscription ends?

Need more time?

If 7 days wasn’t enough, you can extend the trial yourself. Sign in as the workspace owner and visit tella.tv/extend-trial: an active trial gets 7 more days, an expired one restarts as a fresh 7-day trial. This works once per workspace, and only for workspaces that have never had a paid subscription. See Can I extend my free trial?

Do I need to cancel the trial?

No. The trial ends on its own after 7 days and you won’t be charged — there’s no card on file. See How do I cancel my free trial?
