Enter a promo code on the Stripe checkout page when you subscribe. If a referral or education discount is already applied, the code field isn’t shown.
On the checkout page, which opens when a workspace owner clicks Buy now on a plan in Settings → Plans & Billing (see Subscribe to a Tella plan). Add the code in the promotion code field there, before you pay. Tella’s own settings have no field for promo codes.
Because a discount is already applied to your checkout. Each subscription takes one discount, and Tella applies these automatically, without a code:
- A referral discount, if you signed up through someone’s referral link. It’s 20% off your first 3 months (see Refer and earn).
- The Tella for Education discount, if your workspace is in Tella for Education. It replaces any other discount.
When one of these applies, the checkout has no promotion code field.
There’s no field for one in Tella once you’ve subscribed: codes are only entered at checkout. Contact support with the code.
How do I see my discount?
Workspace owners see it in Settings → Plans & Billing, in the line that says what your plan renews at: the discounted price, followed by the discount and, if it ends, the date it ends.
