What you can capture
- A public web page, either Above the fold as an image or as a Scrolling page video
- An individual public post from X, Instagram, LinkedIn, or TikTok
Add a capture to a layout
Use a media layout when the capture should replace your screen recording for part of the video.- Open your video and click Layout.
- Select a time range or layout section, then choose a Media layout. You can also open Customize layout and change Screen or Camera to Media.
- In the Media Library header, click Screenshots (the link icon).
- Under Add from socials or a website, paste the link into Paste a link.
- For a web page, turn on Scrolling page if you want an animated scroll instead of an image of the page above the fold. Social posts are captured as still cards.
- Click Add.
Add a capture as an overlay
Use an overlay when the capture should sit on top of your recording.- Move the playhead to where the overlay should start, or select a time range.
- Click Overlay, find Media, then click Browse all.
- In the Media Library header, click Screenshots (the link icon).
- Under Add from socials or a website, paste the link into Paste a link.
- Click Add.
Switch a website overlay to a scrolling page
After you add a website as an overlay, you can change how Tella captures it:- Select the website overlay on the canvas or timeline.
- Under Screenshot, choose Above the fold or Scrolling page.
- Wait for Tella to recapture the page and replace the overlay.
