A call-to-action (CTA) button is a clickable link shown alongside your video on the view page and in embeds — “Book a demo”, “Visit our website”, “Read the docs”. You can set CTAs on a single video from the video view page. Workspace defaults do the same thing for every video at once: set them here, and every video inherits them without anyone having to remember. To set them, click your workspace name, go to Settings, then CTA button under Workspace.
Only workspace owners can change the default CTAs. Everyone else sees the page in read-only mode, along with the owners to ask.

Add a default CTA

  1. Go to Settings → CTA button.
  2. Turn on Enable default CTA 1.
  3. In Link, enter the full URL the button should open, including https://.
  4. In Label, enter the button text. Keep it short and specific — “Book a demo” beats “Click here”.
  5. To add a second button, turn on Enable default CTA 2 and fill in its link and label the same way.
You can have up to two buttons. A live preview updates as you type, so you can see how the buttons will look to a viewer before you leave the page.

Show favicon

Show favicon displays the small site icon from the linked website next to your button text. It makes the destination recognizable at a glance — useful when you link somewhere with a well-known logo, less so for a plain internal page. This option appears once at least one CTA is enabled, and applies to your buttons together.

How defaults interact with individual videos

Workspace defaults are inherited, not copied. That distinction matters:
  • A video using the workspace default follows it. Change the default later and every one of those videos updates automatically.
  • Overriding or removing the CTA on a single video affects that video only. The workspace default and every other video are untouched.
To change a CTA on one video, open the video’s view page and click the CTA button to open the CTA editor. See share and download a video for the per-video options.
