Add a fancy background to your video recordings.
A custom background in a screen recording is the image that is superimposed behind you in a screen or webcam recording. When you’re making a recording where you’re sharing your screen or camera, you can use Tella’s app to add a custom background behind the frame of your screen and/or camera.
Custom backgrounds are a great way to add a touch of personality or professionalism to your videos. Custom backgrounds not only enhance the visual appeal of your videos, making them more engaging for viewers but also allow you to maintain a consistent brand image or theme across your recordings.
Select the desired screen to capture from the Tella recorder. You can share one tab or your entire screen. Press "Start recording," and you'll receive a three-second countdown. At any time, you can pause the recording and make a new clip.
Once you have all of your recorded clips, you can piece them together, trimming any unnecessary material and rerecording as needed. You can alter the background or layout of the video and choose from 1000s of custom backgrounds.
When you’re video is complete, click “Finish.” You’ll go to the page your viewers will see if you share your recording. There, you’ll be able to watch your recording, share it with a link, export it, embed it, and more. In case you have any last-minute thoughts, you can always go back to edit it again.
In the Tella app, after you’ve completed your recording, you’ll go to the editor window. From there, you can change the layout of where your screen and your webcam recording are positioned. You can pick from several different templed layouts and change the background as well.
Tella offers dozens of templated backgrounds, but we also integrate with Unsplash, a massive free stock photo repository. You can also upload your own backgrounds, or pick from our free collection of animated backgrounds. The possibilities are endless.
