What is it?
A video-to-GIF thumbnail generator is when you make the thumbnail of your video a GIF. The GIF will show only a few seconds of your video - making it easier to share with its much smaller file size. A GIF, or Graphics Interchange Format, is a good alternative to sharing an image when previewing a video.

Video GIF thumbnails are useful when sharing a preview of your video: the animated GIF makes the preview more enticing and is likely to incite recipients to click and watch the full video. For example, when you share your video over email, you can include a preview of your video with the GIF directly inside the email.
FAQ
Open the Tella app and either sign in or sign up. It takes a couple of clicks to get started. Once you’re ready to record, press, “Start recording.” You can pause the recording at any time. Once your recordings are finished, go to the next step.
When you’ve completed your recordings, edit them in the Tella editor window. You can remove any mistakes or unnecessary parts by trimming, splitting, or deleting clips. Tella’s editor is intuitive and easy to use.
When you’re done, just click “Finish,” and you’ll be redirected to the page your viewers will see if you share your recording. There you can click "Share" and select the email option. You'll be able to copy the GIF preview and paste it into an email. You can also pick which time you want to generate the GIF preview from in the video.
