Multi-Layouts

After you've recorded your video in Tella, click on 'Edit', then 'Layouts'. You can then change your default layout for the video. With multi-layouts, you can change the layout at specific moments of your video. Just click on the specific moment in the timeline, click on 'Add layout', then select a new layout to apply from that moment on. That's how you can have multiple layouts in one video.

A video layout refers to how visual elements are arranged on the screen during a video. This can include the placement of the main video feed, any on-screen text, graphics, and additional video feeds, like a presenter's webcam in a tutorial. The layout determines what the viewer sees and how the content is prioritized, creating a specific viewing experience.

You can easily record a portrait video with your phone. If you want to do a screen recording, you can use Tella to record your screen and camera, then select 'Portrait' in the layout section.

A side-by-side video is often called a "split screen" video. This format displays two or more video streams simultaneously on the screen, divided by a vertical or horizontal line. It's commonly used for screen & camera recordings. In Tella, you can record side-by-side videos on the fly and change how they look post-recording.

A talking head video features a person speaking directly to the camera, usually framed from the shoulders up. It’s a simple, straightforward format often used for presentations, interviews and online courses. The focus is on the speaker and their message, minimizing distractions from background elements or graphics.
