Show it with add_overlay or as b-roll with add_layout. It plays live there, so keep refining it where it plays.
Frequently asked questions
Tella Motion is Tella's motion graphics tool, used through the Tella Agent. Ask the agent for animated titles, lower thirds, callouts, charts or diagrams and it builds them in your video, timed to what you say. They play as their own clip, over your recording, or in place of it as b-roll, and stay editable.
Open the video in Tella's editor and ask the Tella Agent, for example "add an animated lower third with my name when I first appear" or "show an animated chart while I talk about revenue". It builds a Tella Motion overlay or b-roll timed to your transcript. For a title card, choose Add clip, then New Tella Motion clip, and describe it to the agent.
Yes. With Tella Motion, an AI agent builds the animation from your request using a real animation engine: keyframes and easing, per-letter text animation, effects, masks and shape morphing. Because it reads your transcript, the graphics land on the word you say rather than at a guessed time.
Yes. Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor to Tella's MCP server. They create a Tella Motion document with create_motion_document, animate it with apply_motion_editor_commands, and place it in the video with add_overlay or add_layout. It plays live there, so later edits show in the video straight away.
For graphics inside a video you recorded, yes: titles, callouts and diagrams timed to your speech, without a keyframe timeline to learn. For full professional motion design, compositing and VFX, After Effects is still the tool.

No. It animates text, shapes, images and your own media. For generated footage, ask the Tella Agent for an AI b-roll clip, which you can then use alongside your motion graphics.
Yes. Tella Motion clips, overlays and b-roll play in your shared and exported video like any other clip.
No. Tella Motion has no keyframe timeline or design controls: the Tella Agent builds it and changes it when you ask, like "make the title bigger" or "slow the animation down". The one thing you set by hand is where it starts, by dragging it. You can also rename, duplicate or delete a Tella Motion clip in the clip list.
