Auto Capture is in a closed beta and isn’t available to every workspace yet. We’d love your feedback: email support@tella.com.
Each video on this page was filmed by Auto Capture from the prompt above it and a starting URL, with nothing else: no script, no list of clicks, no screen recording. Auto Capture explored each app, signed in with a saved login, chose the details (which customer, which boat, which guest), and filmed the journey with an animated cursor.
The apps are fictional demo products Tella built for testing Auto Capture, so every name, price and booking in them is made up. The videos play at 1.7× speed, and only loading screens were trimmed.
To try one of these prompts on your own product, swap in your app’s name and a journey that’s real for it. For a walkthrough of a first take, see Get started with Auto Capture.
What makes these prompts work
- They name who the video is for. “for tradespeople”, “for wedding planners”, “for our website”. The audience decides what’s worth dwelling on.
- They describe a journey, not clicks. Each prompt says where to start, what happens along the way and where to end. Auto Capture finds the buttons itself.
- They leave the details open. None of them names a customer, a price or a boat. Auto Capture picks realistic ones from what’s in the app.
- They ask for the whole journey on camera. Every prompt ends with “Film the whole journey on camera, page to page, rather than jumping straight to the end.” Without that line, Auto Capture may get to the feature off camera and start filming on the final screen.
Sign in with two-step verification and send an invoice
A full morning in an invoicing app, from the sign-in screen: the password and authenticator code, the dashboard, a new invoice with line items and a discount, the customer’s preview, and sending it.
Go from a home page search to a confirmed booking
A booking site end to end: a search, four filters, a boat page, an add-on, all four checkout steps, the confirmation and the customer’s account.
Take a podcast episode from rough edit to scheduled release
An editor app across three screens: cutting a sentence from the transcript, a filler-word clean-up, chapter markers, exporting a master and scheduling the episode.
Build a floor plan by dragging on a canvas
Drag and drop on a canvas: tables, a dance floor, a bar and a head table placed in an empty room, a table rotated, and guests dragged to their seats.
Approve leave and cover the gap on a rota
A request inbox feeding a schedule: approving leave, finding the shifts it opened, dragging them onto colleagues on a weekly grid, and publishing the rota.
Add a customer and send their first invoice
A create-then-use flow: adding a customer, starting an invoice from their page, sending it, and landing back on their activity.
Turn a guest list into a printable seating plan
Filters, a row menu, a drag onto the plan and an export: a late reply marked as attending, that guest seated, and the plan exported as a PDF.
Chase an overdue invoice until it’s paid
A before-and-after across pages: the overdue total, the oldest invoice, a reminder, a recorded payment, and the dashboard total dropping.
Move a booking to a later time
A short customer self-service flow: a booking, a new start time, the confirmation, the booking’s history and the updated list.
