Tella’s free video compressors reduce a video’s file size for Discord or email. You do not need a Tella account, and the downloaded video has no watermark.

Video compressor for Discord

Compress a video to 10 MB, 50 MB, or 500 MB.

Video compressor for email

Compress a video to 10 MB, 20 MB, or 25 MB.

Compress a video

  1. Open the Discord video compressor or email video compressor.
  2. Select the target file size for your destination.
  3. Drag your video onto the page, or click Choose a video and select it from your device.
  4. Preview the file, then click Compress to under [size] MB.
  5. When compression finishes, click Download video.
If your file is already below the selected limit, Tella keeps the original quality and lets you download the unchanged file.

Choose a file size

For Discord, choose the limit that matches your plan:
  • 10 MB — Discord Free
  • 50 MB — Nitro Basic
  • 500 MB — Nitro
For email, choose the limit that matches the recipient’s provider:
  • 10 MB — a conservative option for managed or strict mail servers
  • 20 MB — a common Outlook and iCloud Mail limit
  • 25 MB — the personal Gmail total attachment limit
Email providers can count all attachments toward the limit, and workplace limits may differ. Choose a smaller target if your message contains other attachments or you do not know the recipient’s limit.

Privacy and browser support

Compression happens on your device. Your video is not uploaded to Tella’s servers. The tools support common video files, including MP4, MOV, WebM, and MKV. Use a recent version of Chrome, Edge, or Safari because the browser must be able to decode and encode the video.
Very long videos may not fit a small target while remaining playable. If the tool cannot reach your selected limit, choose a larger target or trim the video first.
