If Tella cannot show the video preview
The new editor uses your computer’s graphics processor to render the video preview. If the preview cannot start or stops working, Tella replaces it with an explanation and recovery options.- Click Try again to reload the editor.
- Click Use classic editor if the option is available and the preview still does not work.
- Follow the guidance for the error you see:
- If your browser is unsupported, update it or open the video in the latest Chrome, Edge, or Safari.
- If graphics are unavailable, turn on hardware acceleration in your browser settings, restart your browser, and update your graphics drivers.
- If the graphics connection stopped, close other tabs or apps before trying again.
- If part of your video uses an unsupported format, open the video in Chrome or use the classic editor.
Your original video and edits are safe when the preview fails. You can still watch the video from its share page.
If the editor is slow or will not open
Try enabling low-res mode (also called Edit faster). Low-res mode is on by default for new videos, so this is mostly relevant if you previously turned it off.How to enable low-res mode
- Open your video in the editor.
- In the top toolbar, click the Low-res button (the flame icon) to toggle it on.
When to use low-res mode
- Your video takes a long time to load
- The editor feels sluggish or unresponsive
- You’re working on a longer video
- Your computer has limited RAM or processing power
