Animated cursor

A cursor that's a pleasure to watch

Tella redraws your cursor from recorded mouse data, so it glides across the screen and clicks with style.

Features

Pick a style

Choose a macOS, Windows, or touch cursor, and set it to any size.

Smooth every move

Smooth the recorded path and tilt the cursor as it travels across the screen.

Clicks that pop

Add a spring on every click and a ripple around it, as subtle or strong as you like.

Recorded once, redrawn perfectly

The cursor isn't baked into the pixels. It's redrawn from the path you recorded, so it stays crisp inside every zoom and can be restyled long after you hit stop.

Out of the way when it's idle

Hide the cursor when it stops moving and bring it back the moment it does. Send it home at the end of the video for a clean finish.

Frequently asked questions

Tella records where your mouse goes while you record, then redraws the cursor from that data in the editor. That's what lets you change its style, size, and motion after the fact.
Screen recordings from the Tella Mac and Windows apps include cursor data. The Chrome extension captures it when you record a browser tab, but not a window or your entire screen.
Yes. Open Zoom in the editor sidebar, open Zoom settings, and turn on Animated cursor. Every control — style, size, smoothing, tilt, click spring, and ripple — is adjustable from there.
Turn on Hide when inactive and the cursor fades out when it stops moving, then returns as soon as it moves again. You can also send it back to its starting position at the end of the video.
Yes. Zooms and the animated cursor share the same recorded cursor data, so a zoom set to Auto follows the same path the cursor draws.
