Frequently asked questions
Open your video in the editor, open Overlay in the sidebar, and choose Blur or Highlight. Click the plus button to add one at the playhead, then position and resize it on the canvas.
Blur hides the area you cover. Highlight does the opposite: it masks everything except the area you frame, so attention is pulled to the part that stays fully visible.
Yes. Add as many blurs and highlights as you need, including ones that overlap in time. Overlapping effects are placed on separate timeline tracks automatically.
Open the effect's three-dots menu in the Overlay sidebar and choose Duplicate. The copy keeps the same size, position, timing, and transition, ready to move or retime.
Blur and highlight timing follows your edited timeline, so removed sections are skipped and effects stay in sync with what viewers actually see.
