Flip a mirrored webcam so the text behind you reads right
Ask the Tella Agent to flip your camera in one clip or every clip, so a whiteboard or poster behind you reads correctly. No re-recording.
Try it in Tella
Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.
The text on the wall behind me reads backwards in my camera. Flip my camera horizontally in every clip of this video so it reads the right way, then tell me which clips you changed and whether any clip has no camera.
The equations on the whiteboard in my 12-minute algebra lesson appear backwards. Mirror the camera in every clip so the board reads left to right. Change only the mirror setting and keep my crop and layouts.
In this compliance training video for new hires, the safety poster behind me reads backwards in clips 2 and 3 only. Flip the camera in those two clips and leave clip 1 unchanged.
How do I flip a mirrored webcam recording so the text behind me reads correctly?
In Tella, ask the Tella Agent to flip your camera in one clip or every clip. It turns on Mirror camera, the setting under Layout → Adjust, so a backwards whiteboard or poster reads correctly. Mirroring applies to every layout in a clip. Turn Mirror camera off to return to the original orientation.
How to do it
- Open the video in the Tella editor and open the Tella Agent chat.
- Ask it to flip your camera in specific clips or in every clip.
- Check on the canvas that the board or poster now reads correctly.
- To flip one clip yourself, right-click your camera and choose Flip horizontally.
Good to know
- Needs a paid plan or the 7-day trial. Messages use your workspace's credits.
- You can't mirror the camera for just one layout within a clip.
- Flipping mirrors all text in your shot, so text that read correctly before will read backwards.
- Apply camera to all clips in Layout → Adjust also copies your camera crop and focus point to every clip.
