Save an edit once, then run it on every video

Save an edit as a skill and the Tella Agent repeats it on any video. Share it with your workspace or install one from GitHub.

Saving and reusing an edit as a Tella Agent skill.

Try it in Tella

Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.

Save the edit you made on this video as a skill called "Clean up a demo". I want to run it on my next screen recording with one command, so keep the steps in the same order.
  • Weekly team update

Make a workspace skill for our weekly update videos: cut silences and filler words, add our intro title card with this week's date, turn on subtitles in our brand style, and write chapters. Ask me for the date first.

  • Customer support replies

Create a skill for support videos: trim the start and end, zoom in on every click, blur the customer's email address wherever it's on screen, and end on a card that says "Still stuck? Reply to this email."

How do I automate the same video edits on every video?

In Tella, save a multi-step edit as a skill and the Tella Agent follows the same steps on any new video. Keep a skill personal, share it with your workspace, or install one from a GitHub repository. Tella also ships built-in skills such as tella-short, which turns a video into a vertical Short with captions.

How to do it

  1. Make the edit once with the Tella Agent, or describe the steps.
  2. Click Save as skill, or ask the agent to save it.
  3. Run it on another video: type / in the message box and pick it.
  4. Drag it from Personal to Workspace in the skill library to share it.

Good to know

  • Needs a paid plan or the 7-day trial. Messages use your workspace's credits.
  • Install skills only from sources you trust. A skill can run code in the agent's sandbox.
  • You need to be a workspace owner or member to add skills or change workspace skills.
  • Attach reference videos or images, up to 10 MB each. A personal skill overrides a workspace skill of the same name.

Frequently asked questions

A skill in the Tella Agent is a saved set of instructions for an editing job you repeat. Run it and the agent follows the same steps, so you don't rewrite the prompt.

You can add a skill to Tella from a GitHub repository. In the skill library, paste the repository link, review its contents, choose Personal or Workspace, and click Trust & install.

Yes. Tell the Tella Agent a preference, like "always use my brand color for text," and it saves it to memory for you or your workspace. Use skills for multi-step jobs.
