Show the post you're reacting to as you talk
Paste a public X, LinkedIn, Instagram or TikTok post link into the Tella Agent. It shows the post as a card while you talk.
Try it in Tella
Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.
Capture this X post as a card: [paste the post link]. Show it as an overlay from when I say "look at this post" until I finish reading it. Put it on the right at 40% of the canvas width with a Smooth transition.
Capture each of these LinkedIn posts as a card: [paste your post links]. Show each one centered at 50% of the canvas width while I talk about it. Switch cards when I say the next person's name.
This is a vertical reaction video. Capture this X post: [paste the post link]. For the first 20 seconds, use a split layout with the post as Media beside my camera. Then switch to full camera.
How do I show a LinkedIn or X post on screen while I talk about it?
Paste a link to a public X, LinkedIn, Instagram or TikTok post into the Tella Agent and say when to show it. Tella captures the post as a still card over your recording. You can move, resize, retime and fade the card, or use a Media layout to replace your screen for that stretch.
How to do it
- Copy the link to a single public post, not a profile or feed.
- Paste it into the Tella Agent chat and say when and where it appears.
- Or click Overlay, then Media, Browse all, and Add from a link.
- Drag the card's timeline edges, which snap to words, to match what you say.
Good to know
- Needs a paid plan or the 7-day trial. Messages use your workspace's credits.
- Posts are captured as still cards. The Scrolling page option only works for websites.
- Captures save to the current video's Video library. Use Save to personal or Save to team to reuse them.
Frequently asked questions
Tella offers two options. Import screenshot captures the post as a card. Import video brings in the video itself so it plays in your recording. Only import media you own or have the rights to use.
Yes, on a Tella clip with a camera recording. Select the post overlay and set Depth to Behind presenter. Choose In front to put the card back on top.
Yes. An app connected to Tella's MCP server calls import_from_url with the post link, then places the card with add_overlay or add_layout. Importing alone does not edit the video.
