How do I make the cursor in my screen recording smoother and bigger, with a click effect?
In Tella, open a Mac or Windows app recording in the editor and ask the Tella Agent to style the animated cursor. It can pick a style such as macOS Tahoe, Windows or Touch, change the size, smooth the movement and add a click ripple. This works for recordings made with the Animated or Hidden cursor.
How to do it
- Open a Mac or Windows app recording in the Tella editor.
- Open the Tella Agent chat in the right sidebar, or press Shift + S.
- Describe the style, size, movement and click effect you want.
- Check the result in Effect, then Cursor, or press E, and ask for tweaks.
Good to know
- Needs a paid plan or the 7-day trial. Messages use your workspace's credits.
- System cursor recordings have the pointer baked into the video, so Tella skips those clips.
- Web recorder and Chrome extension recordings can't have their cursor restyled.
- New videos start at 2x size with movement tilt and click spring off.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Tella applies cursor settings to the whole video by default. To style one clip, expand Advanced zoom settings under Zooms and turn on Adjust this clip only before changing the cursor.
Yes. Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Tella's MCP server and ask it to update the cursor. It can set style, size from 0.5 to 6, smoothing, tilt, click ripple, hide when inactive and return to start.
Yes. In Tella, Auto Zoom and Cursor use the same captured mouse data on Mac and Windows app recordings. Auto Zoom frames the action and Cursor controls how the pointer looks. Use either or both.
