How do I put a branded gradient or image background behind my screen recording?
Open your video in Tella and ask the Tella Agent to set the background, for example "Use a #1E3A8A to #7C3AED gradient at 135 degrees behind every clip." It can use a solid color, a two-color gradient, an image, an animated background or Ambient. A background applies to every clip unless you ask for one clip only.
How to do it
- Upload brand images under Background in the Style panel.
- In the Tella Agent chat, give hex codes and angle, or the image name.
- Say whether it goes on every clip or specific clips.
- Check the preview, then fine-tune in the Style panel (press B).
Good to know
- Needs a paid plan or the 7-day trial. Messages use your workspace's credits.
- Images must be JPEG, PNG or WebP. Animated uploads must be MP4 or MOV, up to 20 MB.
- Apply to this clip only appears only when your video has more than one clip.
- Workspace Viewers can apply shared backgrounds, but only Members and Owners can add or remove them.
Frequently asked questions
