Hand over each client site with a filmed walkthrough
Give Auto Capture the URL of a site you built. It explores the pages, scripts a tour and films it with an animated cursor for your client handover.
Try it in Tella
Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.
Use Tella Auto Capture to record a walkthrough of https://example.com for the client we're handing this site over to. Start on the home page, scroll through each section, open the menu, visit Services and About, and end on the contact form without submitting it.
Make a how-to for the client's office manager at https://app.example.com. Sign in with the "Client CMS demo" credential, open News, start a post with a title and a short paragraph, then stop on the preview. Don't publish or save.
Record a 60-second tour of https://example.com for the owners of a new restaurant site. Show the hero, open the menu and switch between Lunch and Dinner, then pick a table for two this Friday at 7pm. Stop before confirming.
As an agency, how do I make walkthrough videos of the sites we build to show clients at handover?
Ask the Tella Agent in the editor, or Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella's MCP server, to use Auto Capture on the client's site. An AI agent opens the URL in its own browser, explores, scripts the tour and films it with an animated cursor. Each take comes with chapters and suggested cuts.
How to do it
- Copy the full URL where the journey starts. Plan one journey per take.
- Say who the take is for, what to skip and where it ends.
- Read the handoff note, apply the suggested cuts and add takes in order.
- Add your voiceover as an audio file, then share the video with your client.
Good to know
- Closed beta on paid plans: email support@tella.com for access. Each take uses your workspace's credits, the same balance the Tella Agent spends.
- Auto Capture records public http or https pages only, not localhost, IP addresses, intranet hosts or URLs with credentials in them.
- The workspace header gets captures past firewalls, but not past a CAPTCHA or Turnstile inside the page.
- Logins can't use email or text sign-in codes. Save them from 1Password with a one-time password instead.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Tella's MCP server and ask it to record the site's full URL. Then ask it to put the take in a new Tella video. Until then, it isn't in your library.
Every Tella capture sends an X-Tella-Auto-Capture header unique to your workspace. Copy it from Settings → Credentials → Capture identification and allow it in Cloudflare, AWS WAF or Vercel Firewall. Keep it private.
Yes, if it's on a public domain. Save a login under Settings → Credentials and name it in your request. Tella's Auto Capture signs in off camera, restores anything it saved before filming, and asks before changes it can't undo, like publishing.
