Build a full product tour from one take per feature

Ask Auto Capture for one take per feature of your web app. Tella adds the takes to one video in order, with chapters and suggested cuts.

Try it in Tella

Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.

Use Tella Auto Capture to make a product overview of https://app.example.com for first-time visitors. Record three takes: create a project, invite a teammate, export a report. Sign in with the "Demo account" credential. Add the takes to one new video in that order.
  • E-commerce store admin tour

Add three takes of our store admin to this video: add a product with two variants at https://admin.example.com/products, create a 10% discount code at https://admin.example.com/discounts, filter https://admin.example.com/orders to unfulfilled orders. Use the "Merchant demo" credential.

  • Webinar walkthrough

For a webinar for team leads, film https://app.example.com/inbox, https://app.example.com/automations and https://app.example.com/settings/team as three takes, each showing a team lead's main task there, like assigning a conversation. Don't send invites. Apply the suggested cuts and add the takes in order.

How do I make one product tour video that covers several features or pages of my web app?

In Tella, ask Auto Capture for one take per feature or page, and have the takes added to one video in order. Keep each take to a single task, like creating a project. Ask the Tella Agent in the editor or an AI app connected to Tella's MCP server, and give each page's full URL.

How to do it

  1. List the tasks to show, with each starting page's URL.
  2. Save a demo login under Settings → Credentials if the pages need sign-in.
  3. Ask for the takes, then read each handoff note and revise any that's almost right.
  4. Trim the video, add zooms, and add your voiceover file under Overlay → Sounds.

Good to know

  • Closed beta on paid plans: email support@tella.com for access. Each take uses your workspace's credits, the same balance the Tella Agent spends.
  • A revision arrives as a new take for you to place. Your other takes stay as they are.
  • Suggested cuts cover load waits and long pauses. You can apply or skip each one.
  • Auto Capture can't record localhost, IP addresses, intranet hosts, desktop or mobile apps, or sites that block automated browsers.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Tella's MCP server and ask for the takes. Then ask it to place them in a new Tella video in order. A take isn't in your library until it's placed.

Yes, if you saved a matching login in Tella. Auto Capture signs in off camera. The sign-in is filmed only if you ask, or if the site's sign-in can't carry over to the recording browser.

Edit the clips in the Tella editor like any screen recording: trim them, move them or apply the suggested cuts. To change what a take shows, ask for a revision of that take.
