How can our nonprofit film a donation page walkthrough without making a real donation?
Use Auto Capture in Tella. Ask the Tella Agent, or Claude or ChatGPT through Tella's MCP server, to film your donation page and say where to stop. An AI agent explores the page in its own browser, scripts the walkthrough, and films it with an animated cursor. You get a screen recording with chapters and suggested cuts.
How to do it
- Open a video in the Tella editor and open the Tella Agent.
- Give your donation page's full URL, what to show, and where to stop.
- If it asks before an irreversible step, say "stop on the confirmation, don't send".
- Apply the suggested cuts and add your voiceover.
Good to know
- Closed beta on paid plans: email support@tella.com for access. Each take uses your workspace's credits, the same balance the Tella Agent spends.
- Auto Capture has no narration. Record your voiceover in an audio app and add the file as a sound.
- Sites with a bot check block Auto Capture. For your own site, a firewall rule can let captures through.
- Auto Capture records public http or https pages, not localhost, IP addresses or intranet hosts.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Tella's MCP server and ask it to record your donation page. When the take is delivered, ask it to put the take in a new Tella video to edit.
Yes. Tella records every key a take presses, except text typed from a saved login. In the Tella editor, open Effect, turn on Keystrokes and set Show to All keys.
Ask Tella for a new take, or revise a recent one and say what changed, like the gift amount. A revision keeps the rest of the script, so it's usually quicker than starting over.
