Background music that stays under your voice
Ask the Tella Agent to add background music to your video. It picks a track from Tella's music library and keeps it quiet under your voice.
Try it in Tella
Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.
Add calm background music under this whole video. Keep it quiet enough that every word I say is easy to hear. Tell me which track you picked and why it suits the video.
This is a 45-second promo for our linen tote bag. Add an upbeat track from the Energetic category, low enough that it never covers the price and discount code at the end.
This two-minute appeal asks supporters to fund clean water projects. Add a gentle track from the Calm category, quieter than for a promo, so my story about the village stays the focus. Nothing upbeat or playful.
How do I add background music without it drowning out my voice?
Open your video in the Tella editor and ask the Tella Agent for background music in the mood you want. It picks one track from Tella's music library (Calm, Energetic, Focused or Playful) and mixes it under your voice and screen audio. If your voice is hard to hear, ask for the music quieter.
How to do it
- Open your video in the Tella editor and open the Tella Agent.
- Describe the music's mood and how quiet it should sit.
- Play it back and ask for another track or a lower volume.
- To use your own track, click Upload beside Background music in the Audio panel.
Good to know
- Needs a paid plan or the 7-day trial. Messages use your workspace's credits.
- A video has one music track, played across every clip. For a sound at a specific moment, use a sound effect.
- Save an uploaded track to your Personal or Team library to reuse it.
