Have your coding agent film the feature you just deployed

Connect Claude Code or Cursor to Tella's MCP server and ask it to film your deployed feature. Auto Capture scripts and records the demo.

Auto Capture scheduling a podcast episode in Murmurline, a made-up podcast app we test with.

Try it in Tella

Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.

Start here
Use Tella Auto Capture to demo saved filters at https://app.example.com/projects: filter overdue tasks assigned to me, save it as "My overdue" and end with it pinned in the sidebar. Sign in with the "Demo account" credential and add the take to a new video.
  • Developer relations: API key setup

Use Auto Capture at https://app.example.com/settings/developers to show developers creating a read-only API key named "Local testing", ending on the keys list. Sign in with the "DevRel sandbox" credential. Creating keys is fine. Add the take to my "API quickstart" video.

  • Product engineer: release note clip

We shipped dark mode at https://app.example.com/dashboard. Record a 20-second Auto Capture take for the release notes: open the profile menu, switch the theme to Dark, then open the reports page to show it carries over. Use the "Demo account" credential.

How can I have Claude Code or Cursor record a demo of the web app feature I just deployed?

Connect Claude Code or Cursor to Tella's MCP server, then ask it to use Tella Auto Capture on the feature's full URL. Auto Capture opens the page in its own browser, explores it, scripts the demo and films it with an animated cursor. You get a take with a handoff note, chapters and suggested cuts.

How to do it

  1. Connect your agent to Tella in Settings → Connections → AI apps.
  2. For pages behind a sign-in, save a demo login in Settings → Credentials.
  3. Give your agent the URL, the audience, the journey and where it ends.
  4. Put the take in a new Tella video. Add narration as a recorded audio file.

Good to know

  • Closed beta on paid plans: email support@tella.com for access. Each take uses your workspace's credits, the same balance the Tella Agent spends.
  • Sites that block automated browsers stop Auto Capture. On your own site, allow the X-Tella-Auto-Capture header in your firewall.
  • One take films one journey. For a longer video, add one take per flow to the same video.
  • Changes saved while exploring are undone before filming. It asks before any change it can't undo.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Any AI app connected to Tella's MCP server can start an Auto Capture take, including Claude and ChatGPT. Give it the page's full URL.

No. Tella's Auto Capture runs on Tella's servers, so it needs a public http or https URL. It can't reach localhost, IP addresses, intranet hosts or URLs with a username or password in them.

Probably. A Tella Auto Capture take usually runs for several minutes. Some AI apps only check progress when you send a message, so ask "Is the Tella capture done?"
