Animate graphics by describing the motion

Describe how a graphic should move and the Tella Agent sets the keyframes and easing in Tella Motion. Keep asking for changes until it looks right.

The prompt below, run as written.

Try it in Tella

Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.

In this Tella Motion clip, slide the title "Launch week" up 80 pixels and fade it in over the first 0.6 seconds with an ease-out. Hold until 3 seconds, then scale it to 90% and fade out over 0.4 seconds with an ease-in.
  • Founder pitch video

Add a 4-second Tella Motion clip at the start of my pitch. Scale "Northwind" from 60% to 100% with an easy ease, then grow a thin blue underline left to right. Fade both out at 3.5 seconds.

  • Ecommerce marketer

Over my product clip, add a Tella Motion overlay with a round red "20% off" badge, top right. Scale it to 110% then 100% between 2 and 2.5 seconds, wobble 5 degrees at 6 seconds, fade out at 10.

Can an AI assistant set keyframes and easing so I don't have to animate by hand?

Yes, the Tella Agent sets keyframes and easing in Tella Motion from a plain description of what moves, when, and how it should feel. It works on any property, such as position, scale, rotation or opacity. The keyframes stay editable like a hand edit, so you can keep asking for changes.

How to do it

  1. Choose Add clip → New Tella Motion clip, or request an overlay on a recording.
  2. Describe the graphic and how it moves, with start and end times in seconds.
  3. Say how each move should feel: smooth, snappy or an instant hold.
  4. Watch the preview and ask the Tella Agent for changes until the timing works.

Good to know

  • Available to everyone: through the Tella Agent on a paid plan or the 7-day trial, or through Claude or ChatGPT on any plan.
  • A Tella Motion clip has no layouts or cuts, but you can add overlays on top of it.
  • Property values use the editor's units. Percentages are fractions, so opacity 0.5 means half.
  • Tella Motion does not generate footage. AI video generation is a separate Media Library feature.
