Neon glowing titles in your video
Ask the Tella Agent for neon text. Tella Motion adds a glow, can make it flicker, and places it as a clip, overlay or b-roll.
Try it in Tella
Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.
Add a Tella Motion clip at the start of my video with "OPEN" in hot pink neon on a near-black background. Add a soft glow and a pink halo. Flicker it twice, then stay lit. Four seconds total.
Make a five-second Tella Motion clip: "Midnight Social" in electric blue neon, with "Doors 10pm" below in smaller magenta neon. Strong glow on both, a slight flicker on the top line, fade out over the last second.
Over the first six seconds of my recorded clip, add a Tella Motion overlay: "Low Tide" in cyan neon, lower left. Light it letter by letter like a sign switching on, with the glow brightening on the last letter.
How do I make neon glowing text in a video?
In Tella, ask the Tella Agent for a neon title and Tella Motion builds it as its own clip or an overlay on a recorded clip. Describe the words, neon color and background. The agent adds a glow or colored halo and can make it flicker. The text stays editable, so ask for changes until it looks right.
How to do it
- Open your video in the Tella editor and open the Tella Agent chat.
- Choose Add clip → New Tella Motion clip, or ask for an overlay.
- Describe the words, neon color, background, length, glow and flicker.
- Ask for changes, like a wider, softer or stronger glow.
Good to know
- Available to everyone: through the Tella Agent on a paid plan or the 7-day trial, or through Claude or ChatGPT on any plan.
- A Tella Motion clip has no transcript, layouts or cuts. Use an overlay to place neon text over your recording.
- A new Tella Motion clip is 10 seconds by default. Ask for the length you want.
- Tella Motion animates text, shapes and your media. It can't generate footage, like a real neon sign on a wall.

Tella Motion titles use the fonts it can draw, in weights from 100 (thin) to 900 (black). If a font lacks the weight you ask for, Tella uses the nearest one.
Yes. Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Tella's MCP server from Settings → Connections → AI apps, then ask for neon text. It adds a glowing Tella Motion title as a clip, overlay or b-roll.
