A photo slideshow with transitions and music, made by asking

Attach your photos and ask the Tella Agent for a slideshow. Tella Motion lines them up with crossfades or wipes, slow zooms, titles and your music.

Try it in Tella

Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.

Start here
Make a slideshow from the 12 photos I attached, in the order I attached them. Show each for 3 seconds with a half-second crossfade, add a slow zoom on each photo, and play the attached music track under it.
  • Event recap

Turn these photos from the Brindle Row summer meetup into a 40-second recap. Open with 'Summer meetup' in bold white over the first photo, wipe left between photos, and end on the group photo for 4 seconds.

  • Property listing

Make a slideshow of the attached photos of 14 Larkspur Lane: the outside first, then the kitchen, living room and garden. Show each for 4 seconds, crossfade between them, and put the room name in the bottom left of each.

How do I make a photo slideshow video with music and transitions?

In Tella, add a Tella Motion clip, attach your photos in the Tella Agent chat and ask for a slideshow. Tella Motion plays the photos one after another, with a crossfade or a left, right, up or down wipe between them, and can add a slow zoom and a title to each. Attach a music file to play it under the slideshow, or add a track from Tella's music library as background music.

How to do it

  1. Open a video in the Tella editor and choose Add clip → New Tella Motion clip.
  2. In the Tella Agent chat, click + → Attach… and add your photos, plus a music file if you have one.
  3. Say the order, how long each photo shows, the transition and any titles.
  4. Play the preview and ask for changes, like "slower zoom" or "swap photos 3 and 4."

Good to know

  • Available to everyone: through the Tella Agent on a paid plan or the 7-day trial, or through Claude or ChatGPT on any plan.
  • A new Tella Motion clip lasts 10 seconds. The agent can make it as long as your slideshow.
  • Background music from the Audio panel loops under the whole video. Music you attach can play under the slideshow alone.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Open the Audio panel and add a track from the music library as background music, or upload your own. It plays under your whole video, and you can turn its volume down.

Yes. Ask for a Ken Burns effect, like "slowly zoom into each photo and alternate the pan left and right." Tella Motion keyframes each photo's scale and position, so you can change any move later.

Yes. Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella's MCP server can upload your photos to Tella and build the slideshow with the same Tella Motion commands the Tella Agent uses.
