B-Roll Finder
Source accurate, on-brand b-roll for talking-head video — and place each cutaway on the exact word.
About
An agent skill that sources accurate, on-brand b-roll for talking-head video — and places each cutaway on the exact word. It reads your transcript, figures out what each line is actually about, routes every moment to the right footage, and hands back a tight set of vetted candidates. You make the final pick.
Built for reference-rich talking-head video — podcast & interview intros, tutorial & explainer intros, competitor/drama videos, storytelling and listicles. The more proper nouns and provable claims a script has, the better: name it or prove it → great, feel it → it defers to you.
It ships with a real taste profile (TASTE.md) — a fingerprint revealed from actual published videos, a curated topic-tagged source list, and opinionated guardrails — so it sources well from the first run. Fork it to make the taste yours.
What it does
- Classifies each beat and routes it to the right kind of footage — no keyword-matching, no random stock
- Runs a plan-first loop: asks a couple of setup questions, proposes an annotated plan, waits for your go
- Leans on objective b-roll (receipts, official clips, your own graphics) where there's a checkably correct answer
- Places each vetted cutaway on the precise word
- Ships with a curated, topic-tagged source list so a tech video never gets scoped to someone's surf vlog
Install
$ git clone https://github.com/louisedesadeleer/b-roll-finder.gitRegister it by pointing your CLAUDE.md at the repo's SKILL.md (or drop SKILL.md in your skills directory).
How to use it
- Run /find-broll and hand it your transcript or video.
- It asks about format, cadence, motion-graphics, and any guests + handles, then proposes a per-beat plan.
- Approve the plan and it returns vetted candidates for you to pick from.
