Edit a whole video from one prompt
Describe the whole edit in one message. The Tella Agent cuts, zooms, changes layouts and adds subtitles while you watch, and you can steer it as it goes.
Try it in Tella
Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.
Edit this whole video for me: cut the filler words and any pause longer than one second, zoom in each time I click in the app, use full camera for the intro and a split layout for the demo, add subtitles, and write a title and chapters. Tell me what you changed when you're done.
This is a walkthrough of the Brindlewood invoicing app for new customers. Remove my retakes and false starts, cut the part where I talk about the old pricing, zoom in when I click Create invoice and Send, and end on full camera for my sign-off.
Clean up this Quillmark weekly update: cut the filler words and long pauses, switch between camera and screen so the slides are readable, add subtitles and translate them to Spanish, then write a title and chapters. Ask me before cutting anything longer than ten seconds.
Can an AI editor edit my whole video from one prompt?
Yes. In Tella, open your video in the editor and describe the whole edit in one message to the Tella Agent in the sidebar on the right, for example: cut the filler words and long pauses, zoom when I click Settings, use a split layout for the demo, add subtitles, and write a title and chapters. The agent reads your transcript and timeline and makes each change in the editor while you watch. You can ask it to undo a change or try something different.
How to do it
- Open your video in the Tella editor. If the sidebar is hidden, press Shift + S.
- Describe the whole edit in one message: what to cut, which layouts and zooms to use, and whether you want subtitles, a title or chapters.
- To point at a specific part, select words in the transcript and click Add to chat.
- Watch each change land in the editor, and send a follow-up if you want something different.
Good to know
- Needs a paid plan or the 7-day trial. Messages use your workspace's credits.
- When the agent needs a detail, like how long a pause must be before it's cut, it shows a question card with its own suggestion filled in. Change what you want, or click Skip.
- Everyone editing a video shares its chat, so co-editors see the same conversation.
