Make a video walkthrough of your store's product pages

Ask Auto Capture to film a product page from its URL: the photo gallery, size and color options, and add to cart, with an animated cursor.

Try it in Tella

Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.

Start here
Make a video for shoppers at https://example.com/products/trail-pack-28 on Fernhollow Outdoor: click through the photo gallery, switch the color to moss green, open the size guide, pick the 28-liter size and end on the cart with it added. It's a test store, so leaving items in the cart is fine.
  • Several products

Record one take each of https://example.com/products/oolong-tin, https://example.com/products/brew-kettle and https://example.com/products/tasting-set on Bramblecup Tea. On each page, scroll the gallery, open the reviews and add one to the cart. Put the three takes in one new Tella video, in that order.

  • Product launch

Film https://example.com/lamps/orla for a launch email from Larkspur Lamps: show the gallery, switch the shade from linen to smoke gray, expand Materials and care, and stop on the Add to cart button without clicking it. Keep it to about 30 seconds.

How do I make a video walkthrough of an online store's product pages?

Ask Tella's Auto Capture to record the product page's full URL, and say what to show, such as the photo gallery or a color and size, and where to end, like the cart. Start it from the Tella Agent in the editor or an AI app connected to Tella's MCP server. It opens the page in its own browser and films the walkthrough with an animated cursor.

How to do it

  1. Pick the product page and copy its full URL.
  2. Ask for the take with who it's for, what to show and where to end.
  3. Say whether items may be left in the cart or an order placed.
  4. Read the handoff note and apply the suggested cuts.

Good to know

  • Beta, on paid plans. Each take uses your workspace's credits, the same balance the Tella Agent spends.
  • Auto Capture records public http or https pages only, so a store preview on localhost or an intranet host won't work.
  • Some stores show automated browsers a "verify you're human" page, and Auto Capture can't get past it. On your own store, a firewall rule can let captures through.
  • Takes have no narration. Add a voiceover in the editor.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app to Tella's MCP server and ask it to record the product page's URL. Then ask it to put the take in a Tella video, since takes aren't in your library until they're placed in a video.

One Auto Capture take films one page or flow. For several products, ask for one take per product page, then have the takes added to the same Tella video in order.

Not without asking. Before a step it can't undo, like confirming an order, Tella's Auto Capture stops and asks what to do. Say to stop at the cart or on the payment step, or to use a test store where orders are fine.
