Make a feature launch video without recording it

Ask Auto Capture to film your new feature with an animated cursor. Then add a voiceover, zooms and a background in Tella.

Auto Capture changing the date range on the Reports page of Tallyfern, a made-up invoicing app we test with.

Try it in Tella

Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.

Start here
Film a launch video of the new Reports dashboard at https://app.example.com/reports for existing customers. Set the date range to the last 90 days, compare two teams side by side and end on the export menu without exporting. Sign in with the "Demo account" login.
  • Fintech feature launch

For finance teams, film bulk invoice approval at https://app.example.com/approvals. Select five pending invoices, approve them together and end on the approved list with its updated total. It's a sandbox, so approve, but send no emails.

  • Social teaser

Film a teaser of about 20 seconds of our new search for a LinkedIn post. At https://app.example.com/library, search "onboarding checklist for new hires", open the top result and end on the highlighted answer. Change no settings.

How do I make a launch video for a new web app feature when no one has time to record it?

Use Tella's Auto Capture to film it. In the Tella editor, ask the Tella Agent to film the feature, with its full URL, the audience and where to end. An AI agent explores the page in its own browser, writes a script, then films it with an animated cursor. You get a take with a handoff note, chapters and suggested cuts.

How to do it

  1. Save a demo login under Settings → Credentials if the feature needs sign-in.
  2. Ask the Tella Agent for a take, then read its handoff note.
  3. Record a voiceover in any audio app and add the file as a sound.
  4. Add zooms and a background, then share the launch video.

Good to know

  • Closed beta on paid plans: email support@tella.com for access. Each take uses your workspace's credits, the same balance the Tella Agent spends.
  • Auto Capture films public http and https pages. It can't reach localhost, IP addresses or intranet hosts.
  • One take films one journey. Ask for one take per part of the feature and add them to one video.
  • Use a demo account with realistic sample data. Anything the account can see may end up in the video.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app to Tella's MCP server and ask, for example, "Use Tella to record a launch demo of https://app.example.com/reports." Then ask it to put the take in a new Tella video.

Yes. Tell the Tella Agent where you talk about the feature, such as "I talk about the new dashboard at 1:20, film https://app.example.com/dashboard as b-roll there." Tella places the take as b-roll or as its own clip.

No, Tella Auto Capture can't pass "verify you're human" pages. Copy the X-Tella-Auto-Capture header value from Settings → Credentials and allow it in your firewall or bot protection. This doesn't solve a CAPTCHA inside your page.
