Add a video of the change to every pull request
Have your coding agent film the preview deployment with Tella Auto Capture, put the take in a video, and add the video's link to the pull request.
Try it in Tella
Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.
The preview for this branch is at https://pr-482.preview.quillbank.example/invoices. Use Tella Auto Capture to film the new bulk-send flow for reviewers: select three draft invoices, open Send, review the summary and stop before confirming. Sign in with the "Quillbank preview" login. Put the take in a new Tella video named "PR 482: bulk send" and add its link to the pull request description.
Use Tella Auto Capture on https://pr-91.preview.bramblehop.example/settings/profile to show code reviewers the fixed avatar removal: open the avatar menu, choose Remove photo, and end on the initials placeholder. Removing the photo is fine on this preview. Keep it to about 20 seconds. Then put it in a new Tella video and paste the link under a "Demo" heading in the PR.
Make a keyboard-driven Tella Auto Capture demo of https://pr-217.preview.ferncastle.example/board for this PR: open the command palette, create a card called "Retro notes", move it to Done and stop there. Creating cards is fine on this preview. Put the take in a new Tella video with Keystrokes turned on and add the link to the pull request.
How do I add a video of the change to every pull request?
Connect your coding agent, such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex, to Tella's MCP server under Settings → Connections → AI apps. After the branch's preview is deployed, ask the agent to use Tella Auto Capture on the preview's full URL, put the delivered take in a new Tella video, and add the video's link to the pull request.
How to do it
- Connect your coding agent in Settings → Connections → AI apps.
- If previews need a sign-in, save a demo login under Settings → Credentials and add your preview domain under Use on.
- Once the preview is live, ask the agent to film the change at its full URL, saying who it's for and where to end.
- Have it put the take in a new Tella video and add the video's link to the PR description.
Good to know
- Beta, on paid plans. Each take uses your workspace's credits, the same balance the Tella Agent spends.
- Tella doesn't post to pull requests. Your coding agent adds the video link to the PR.
- The preview has to be on a public http or https domain. Auto Capture can't reach localhost, IP addresses or intranet hosts. If your preview's bot protection blocks it, allow the X-Tella-Auto-Capture header.
- Nothing shows up in your Tella library until the agent puts the take in a video.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, as long as each preview is on a subdomain of a site listed under the login's Use on. Subdomains are included, so a login used on preview.example.com also covers pr-482.preview.example.com.
Yes. Any AI app connected to Tella's MCP server can run Auto Capture on the preview's URL and put the take in a Tella video. You then paste the video's link into the pull request yourself.
Auto Capture uses the preview for real. When it reaches a change it can't undo, like sending an email, it stops and asks what to do. Say in your request whether that's fine to repeat on the preview, or to stop before confirming.
