3D text animation without Blender or Cinema 4D
Ask the Tella Agent for 3D text. Tella Motion tilts and turns your title in perspective, then adds a drop shadow and bevel for depth.
Try it in Tella
Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.
Make a 3D title card that says "Larkspan 2.0" on a dark navy background. Start the title turned 70 degrees on its vertical axis and swing it to face the camera over one second with an overshoot. Add a soft drop shadow below it and a light bevel on the letters, lit from the top left. Hold for three seconds, then tilt it back and fade out.
Open the video with "Meet Quillhaven" in bold white Montserrat. Tilt it back 60 degrees on its horizontal axis so it lies flat like a floor, then stand it up as I start talking. Keep the perspective strong and add a teal drop shadow.
Before each of my three chapters, add a 3D title with the chapter name. Turn it slowly side to side by about 15 degrees while it's on screen, with a long soft shadow, so it looks like it's floating. Use the same style each time.
How do I make 3D text animation for a video without Blender or Cinema 4D?
In Tella, open the Tella Agent chat and ask for a 3D title. Tella Motion builds it in your video, either as its own clip or over your recording. It tilts and turns the text with 3D rotation and a perspective camera. It can also add a drop shadow and a bevel lit from one side for depth.
How to do it
- Open your video in the Tella editor and the Tella Agent chat (Shift + S).
- Add a clip with Add clip → New Tella Motion clip, or ask for the title as an overlay on a recorded clip.
- Describe the text, font, colors, how it should tilt or turn, and when.
- Preview it, then ask for changes like "less tilt" or "slower turn".
Good to know
- Available to everyone: through the Tella Agent on a paid plan or the 7-day trial, or through Claude or ChatGPT on any plan.
- Tella Motion's 3D is a tilt, a turn and a perspective distance applied to flat text. It doesn't build 3D models or open Blender or Cinema 4D files.
Frequently asked questions
No. Tella Motion rotates flat text in 3D, so the letters tilt and turn but have no sides. A bevel and a drop shadow make them look deeper.
Yes. In Tella Motion, tilt, turn and perspective can all be animated. Ask the Tella Agent for keyframes at the times you want, with easing such as a spring or an overshoot.
Yes. Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella's MCP server gets the same Tella Motion tools as the Tella Agent, including 3D rotation, perspective and effects. The title appears in your Tella editor as it's built.
