Point viewers to the right button on cue
Ask the Tella Agent for an arrow that draws on toward a button as you name it. Tella Motion times it to your transcript.
Try it in Tella
Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.
When I say "click Export", draw an arrow from the lower left to the Export button in the top right. Yellow, 6 px stroke, rounded arrowhead. Draw it in half a second, hold 2 seconds, then fade out. Keep it clear of my cursor.
Each time I name a control (Settings, Security, Reset password), draw a short curved arrow toward it with a white label in the same words. Use teal #0F9D8A. Show one arrow at a time.
When I say "this is the new Share button", draw a dashed arrow from the center to the Share button, then draw a circle around the button. Make both coral and 5 px thick. Fade them out together after 3 seconds.
How do I add animated arrows that point to a button in my screen recording?
In Tella, ask the Tella Agent for a Tella Motion arrow that draws on toward a button when you name it. It times the arrow to that word in your transcript and checks frames to keep it off the button, your cursor and your face. The arrow stays editable, so you can change its color, angle or timing.
How to do it
- In the Tella editor, open the Tella Agent chat (Shift + S).
- Name the button and the words where the arrow should appear.
- Describe the look: color, thickness, dashed or solid, curved or straight, label.
- Preview it, then ask for changes like "start it later" or "thicker line".
Good to know
- Available to everyone: through the Tella Agent on a paid plan or the 7-day trial, or through Claude or ChatGPT on any plan.
- The arrow sits at a fixed spot on the frame. If the page scrolls, ask the agent to keyframe it.
- Timing follows your transcript, so arrows line up with words only where the recording has speech.
- Reset all overlays on the Overlay timeline removes motion graphics along with text, media and sound effects.

Yes. Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella's MCP server gets the same Tella Motion tools as the Tella Agent. It can build the arrow, place it on your clip and check a frame.
