Answer repeat customer questions with a filmed how-to

Describe the task customers keep asking about. Tella Auto Capture films it on your site with an animated cursor, chapters and suggested cuts.

Auto Capture moving a booking to a later time on Saltmarsh, a made-up boat hire website we test with.

Try it in Tella

Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.

Start here
Use Tella Auto Capture to show customers how to change a booking at https://app.example.com/bookings. Open an upcoming booking, pick a later time, confirm, and end in My bookings with the new time listed. Use the "Customer demo" credential. Film the whole journey on camera.
  • Fitness studio

Record a how-to for gym members on https://app.example.com/schedule: cancel next Tuesday's 7am spin class, book the 6pm class instead, and end on the schedule showing it booked. Use the "Member demo" credential. Don't message the instructor.

  • Online store returns

Make a how-to for shoppers returning an item. From Orders at https://shop.example.com/account, open a recent order, start a return for one item, choose "Too small" and drop-off, and stop on the return summary before submitting. Use "Shopper demo".

How can I make a how-to video that answers a customer question without recording my screen?

Ask the Tella Agent, or Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella's MCP server, to use Auto Capture to film the task on your site. An AI agent opens the page in its own browser, signs in with a saved login if needed, checks a script and films it with an animated cursor. The take arrives with chapters and suggested cuts.

How to do it

  1. Save a demo login under Settings → Credentials if the task needs sign-in.
  2. Give the page's full URL, who the video is for and where to end.
  3. Read the handoff note, trim the take and apply suggested cuts.
  4. Share the video or embed it in your help article.

Good to know

  • Closed beta on paid plans: email support@tella.com for access. Each take uses your workspace's credits, the same balance the Tella Agent spends.
  • Takes have no narration. Record your voiceover in an audio app and add the file as a sound in the editor.
  • One take films one flow. For several tasks, ask for one take per task and add them to one video.
  • It can't record localhost, IP addresses, intranet hosts, desktop or mobile apps, or sites that block automated browsers.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app to Tella's MCP server and ask it to use Tella Auto Capture with the page's full URL. Then ask it to put the take in a new Tella video.

Tella Auto Capture uses the account for real, so use a demo account with sample data. It undoes what it saved while exploring before filming, and asks before changes it can't undo, like sending an email.

No. Tell Tella Auto Capture who the video is for, what the customer does and where it should end. It explores the page and finds the buttons itself.
