Branded wipe transitions timed to your words
Ask the Tella Agent for a branded wipe between sections. Tella Motion sweeps a panel across the frame, timed to your words.
Try it in Tella
Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.
Add a wipe at each new section. A navy panel sweeps in from the left over 0.4 seconds, holds for a beat, then wipes away to the right. Use a 40 px feathered edge, ease out, and start on the first word of each section.
Before each of the three case studies, add a radial wipe in teal #1A9E8F that sweeps clockwise from the top center, with 'Harbor and Pine Studio' in bold white for half a second. Then duplicate it in coral #FF7A59.
Between chapters, add venetian blinds in orange #FF6B2C with 60 px horizontal stripes. They close, the chapter title shows in bold white for one second, then they open. Keep it under 1.5 seconds.
How do I make custom animated wipe transitions between sections of my video?
In Tella, ask the Tella Agent to add a Tella Motion overlay where one section ends and the next begins. It draws a panel in your colors and animates it with a linear, radial, venetian blinds or gradient wipe. The agent reads your transcript, so the wipe can start on the first words of the new section.
How to do it
- Open your video in the Tella editor and open the Tella Agent chat.
- Say where each wipe goes: every new section or a phrase you say.
- Describe the style, direction, colors, edge feather, easing and duration.
- Play the preview and ask for changes, like "faster" or "softer edge."
Good to know
- Available to everyone: through the Tella Agent on a paid plan or the 7-day trial, or through Claude or ChatGPT on any plan.
- A gradient wipe clears pixels by another layer's brightness, darkest first, so it needs a second layer.
- To wipe a panel on and then off, Tella Motion reverses the wipe's keyframes or uses two layers.
- A Tella Motion clip on its own has no transcript, so wipes inside it are timed from the clip start.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Ask the Tella Agent to duplicate your Tella Motion transition and change only what differs, like the color or label. The copy keeps the same timing and motion, and edits to one don't change the other.
Yes. Attach a reference image in the Tella Agent chat and ask it to recreate the style. It builds the wipe with Tella Motion effects and shapes, so you can still edit colors, timing and direction.
Yes. Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella's MCP server can use the same Tella Motion wipe tools. Ask it to work on your Tella video and the transitions appear in the editor.
