Write your video script and plan the shots before you record
Click Plan a Video in Tella. The Tella Agent writes an outline, a word-for-word script and a storyboard, then sends the script to your speaker notes.
Try it in Tella
Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.
Plan a 90-second video introducing Pebblecart's new bulk-import feature to existing customers. Give me the one-line point, an outline, a word-for-word script and a shot-by-shot storyboard of what's on screen. Then give me a recorder card with the script.
I've attached the launch brief for Quillmoor's shared calendars. Turn it into a 2-minute script for a camera-and-screen video: a 10-second hook, three short sections, and a closing line that sends viewers to the pricing page. Keep the sentences short enough to read aloud.
My first take of this Harbinlight onboarding video rambles. Write a tighter script under 60 seconds that keeps the same steps, so I can record it again. Mark which line goes with each screen.
Can AI write my video script and plan the video before I record?
Yes. In a new Tella Agent chat in the Tella editor, click Plan a Video. The Tella Agent asks what the video is for, then writes the one-line point, an outline, a word-for-word script sized to the length you want and a shot-by-shot storyboard, and it waits for your go before it changes anything. Ask for a recorder card and click Go to recorder to put the script in your speaker notes, ready to read while you record.
How to do it
- Open a video in the Tella editor, or type what you want to make in the What do you want to make? box in My videos.
- Click Plan a Video in a new chat, or type / and pick tella-plan-video. If you have a brief, attach it with + → Attach….
- Tell the Tella Agent who the video is for and how long it should be, then ask for changes to the outline, script or storyboard.
- Ask for a recorder card and click Go to recorder. The script opens in your speaker notes.
- Click play in the notes panel to scroll the script while you record.
Good to know
- Needs a paid plan or the 7-day trial. Messages use your workspace's credits.
- Go to recorder replaces whatever was in your speaker notes, and the button only appears in a video's own chat.
- Older versions of the Mac and Windows apps open the recorder without the script. Click Copy on the card and paste the script into your notes.
