Film drag and drop on a canvas or planner

Ask Auto Capture for a demo of your canvas, planner or schedule. An AI agent drags items into place on camera with an animated cursor.

Try it in Tella

Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.

Start here
Use Tella Auto Capture to film https://app.example.com for event planners: open an event, drag round tables, a dance floor and a bar into the empty room, rotate one table, drag guests onto a table, and end zoomed out on the seat total.
  • Shift scheduling SaaS

Record a demo of https://app.example.com/schedule for clinic managers: approve a leave request, move that person's shifts to open shifts, then drag them onto colleagues who can cover. Stop before publishing. Sign in with the "Demo manager" credential.

  • Design tool feature launch

Film about 40 seconds of https://app.example.com/boards for designers: start on a blank board, drag three image cards and a text block onto it, line them up in a row, and resize one card. Use the "Launch sandbox" credential.

Can an AI agent record a demo of a drag-and-drop feature, like arranging items on a canvas or planner?

Yes, Tella's Auto Capture films drag and drop in a web app, like placing tables on a floor plan or moving shifts on a schedule. An AI agent explores the app, scripts the drags and films them in a clean browser with an animated cursor. You get the take with a handoff note, chapters and suggested cuts.

How to do it

  1. Save a demo login under Settings → Credentials if the app needs a sign-in.
  2. Ask the Tella Agent for a take with the URL, audience and what to drag where.
  3. Add "Film the whole journey on camera, page to page" to show the path there.
  4. Read the handoff note, then trim or add zooms in the Tella editor.

Good to know

  • Closed beta on paid plans: email support@tella.com for access. Each take uses your workspace's credits, the same balance the Tella Agent spends.
  • One take films one journey. For a canvas demo and a schedule demo, ask for two takes in the same video.
  • Auto Capture records public http or https pages only, not desktop or mobile apps, localhost or intranet hosts.
  • Takes have no narration. Record a voiceover in an audio app and add the file under Overlay → Sounds.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Connect the app to Tella's MCP server and ask it to record your canvas or planner with its full URL. It starts the take, waits for it to finish and can add it to a Tella video.

No. Tella's Auto Capture puts back what it saved while exploring and checking before it films. For changes it can't undo, like publishing a schedule that notifies a team, it stops and asks you.

Yes. Ask Tella for a revision, like an extra drag or a different ending. A new take starts from the same script and keeps the rest.
