Make a scrolling video of your website
Ask Tella's Auto Capture to scroll your website top to bottom, pausing on each section. Use the video in a portfolio, a launch post or a case study.
Try it in Tella
Paste a prompt into the Tella Agent in the editor, or into Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella, then ask for changes.
Use Tella Auto Capture to record https://example.com for my portfolio. Scroll the landing page top to bottom, pausing on each section long enough to read its heading, and end on the footer. Don't click any links or fill in forms.
For our Larkspur Labs launch post, film https://example.com/launch: pause on the hero, scroll slowly through the three feature sections, stop on the customer quotes, and end on the Join the waitlist button without clicking it. Keep it to about 30 seconds.
Record the Quillmoor Bakery site we built at https://example.com for our studio's case study. Scroll the home page to the menu section, open the Menu page and scroll through it, then end on the opening hours. Don't open the order form.
How do I make a scrolling video of a website, for a portfolio or a launch post?
Ask Tella's Auto Capture, from the Tella Agent in the editor or from Claude or ChatGPT connected to Tella. Give the page's full URL and describe the scroll, such as "scroll the landing page top to bottom, pausing on each section, and end on the footer". An AI agent films the page in its own browser with an animated cursor, and you edit the take like any screen recording. For a quick scroll without an agent, paste the URL into Add from a link in the editor's Media Library and turn on Scrolling page.
How to do it
- Copy the full URL of the live page you want to show.
- Open the Tella Agent in the editor (Shift + S if it's hidden), or a connected AI app, and describe the scroll and where it ends.
- Keep editing while the take runs.
- Read the handoff note, then trim, speed up, add a background or restyle the cursor.
Good to know
- Beta, on paid plans. Each take uses your workspace's credits, the same balance the Tella Agent spends.
- The site must be live on a public domain. Auto Capture can't record localhost, IP addresses or intranet hosts, or get past a site's bot check.
- Describe pauses and length in words. There's no setting for an exact scroll speed or video size.
- Auto Capture records no narration. Record a voiceover in any audio app and add the file as a sound.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app to Tella's MCP server under Settings → Connections → AI apps, and ask it to use Tella to record your page scrolling. When the take is delivered, ask it to put the take in a new Tella video so it shows in your library.
A Scrolling page capture, from Add from a link in the editor's Media Library, turns a public page into an animated scroll for a layout or overlay. With Auto Capture, an AI agent films the page with an animated cursor and follows your request: which sections to pause on, what to open and where to end.
Yes. The take arrives in Tella as a screen recording, with suggested cuts for loading waits and long pauses. Trim it, speed it up or add zooms in the editor. If the agent should show a different part of the page, ask for a revision.
