Animate the attached screenshot as a 6-second opening shot. Slide it up from below with an ease-out, round the corners and add a soft shadow on a dark navy background. Zoom in on the top-right filter panel, hold two seconds, then fade out.
When I say "meet the new dashboard" in clip two, show my dashboard screenshot as b-roll. Scale it from small and tilted to full width with motion blur. Outline the revenue card in white, then cut back to my camera.
When I talk about the export menu, add the screenshot as an overlay on the right, clear of my face. Mask it to the export menu, pop it in as I say "export" and slide it out at pricing.
How do I animate a static product screenshot for a launch video?
In Tella, attach your screenshot in the Tella Agent chat and describe the motion, and Tella Motion animates it as its own clip, an overlay or b-roll. It can slide, scale, zoom, mask, round corners, add shadow and motion blur, and time each move to your words. The result stays editable.
How to do it
- Open your video. For a standalone shot, choose Add clip → New Tella Motion clip.
- Attach your screenshot with the + button in the Tella Agent chat.
- Describe the entrance, zoom or mask, background, shadow and timing.
- Watch the preview and ask for changes, like "slower zoom".
Good to know
- Available to everyone: through the Tella Agent on a paid plan or the 7-day trial, or through Claude or ChatGPT on any plan.
- Tella Motion animates the screenshot you give it. AI image and video generation is a separate Media Library feature.
- A Tella Motion clip on its own has no transcript, so timing to speech needs a recorded clip.
- Tella Motion media saved in the Media Library is a frozen snapshot. Placing it creates a new editable copy.
