FAQ
An all-hands video is a recorded message you share with your entire team as a standup or company-wide update. If your all-hands is asynchronous, participants can record and share their updates using Tella. Rather than a live meeting, team members can watch each other's updates and respond on their own time.
An all-hands meeting usually lasts between 10 and 20 minutes. Anything longer and it gets too cumbersome. If done asynchronously, you can record your all-hands meeting and share it with your team afterward. If done this way, keep your update to 2 to 4 minutes so you don’t lose anyone’s attention.
All-hands meetings get everyone on the same page and share quick updates between teams. Rather than lengthy updates on matters that are relevant to only a few members, all-hands meetings are great for connecting team members and building camaraderie, especially if the team is remote.
To make all-hands meetings more efficient, teams should record their messages on their own time using Tella’s screen recorder. It takes only a couple of clicks to start recording in Tella and gives each team the ability to edit their recording. In this way, each team’s update is efficient and only includes the essentials.
